His ways are higher than our own

I am a 24 year old lady from Ghana and I have not had an easy journey looking for a job. I wanted to be a flight attendant and made an application to an airline. The airline responded and gave me the job which I was pleased about but soon after, I was notified that the airline was bankrupt so they wouldn't be able to fly again. I waited for a year at home and honestly, it was devastating. I cried so much and prayed to God for help.

Some time after, I tried to go to aviation school in an attempt to train to be part of the cabin crew for an airline but after paying my fees for the school, they told me the course wouldn't be running that year. Although I was disappointed, I decided to do a travel and tourism course instead because I knew my passion was travel and aviation. My plan was to use this course as a stepping stone to eventually get back on to a cabin crew course.

After completing the course, I struggled to find a job and when I eventually did get one (which was at a travel agency), it wasn't a well paying one and was not what I was looking for at all. The agency did not get much business (it was a travel agency but it took a whole 2-3 months for someone to book a ticket) and I was required to be at work every day which was frustrating when there was so little to do. I decided to leave and start my own business. This took courage but I decided that I had little to lose. I opened a social media page and started posting destinations pics and travel packages and people started making enquiries. One such person was a popular beauty contest winner, who ended up being my first client. She booked with me on a trip and following her experience, recommended me to other people. I started getting exposure and attracted TV interviews from 4 stations! Speaking from the present day, I now get the opportunity to host tours for many people and travel to countries I never thought I could visit. God is so wonderful! He saw my heart's desire and is allowing me to live my dream, but doing it His way rather than the way I thought it would be achieved.

On top of this, God has also blessed me with a loving partner who I met through my travel business (he was a client on one of my trips!). This was so moving too as I had previously been in a long term abusive relationship which had left me heartbroken.

My message that I would like to leave you with is this: God will give you your heart's desires if you trust in Him. He has allowed me to create a life for myself where I am happy, I travel and I make money for myself. I hope this testimony inspires someone.
