God exceeded my expectations

Last year I applied for several internships in banking, as was usual for students on my course, but unfortunately I was rejected by every major bank. I had trusted that God would lead me to the right place but I was very disappointed by these rejections (and truthfully, a bit surprised) as I had worked really hard, had good grades and was studying at a great university.
However, shortly after receiving a string of rejections, I received an offer for an internship at a small banking firm that I hadn't previously been very familiar with. Now that I am the other side of the internship, I realise what a blessing this offer was. Because the company was a lot smaller, I was given levels of responsibility and exposure that I'm certain would not have been afforded to me had I interned at one of the bigger banks that I had my eye on previously. In particular, I have been able to develop and nurture relationships with very senior members of staff which I know would not have been possible in a bigger institution (in fact, many of my coursemates who had received offers to intern at the bigger banks were surprised by the opportunities that I was being afforded as a mere intern).
Through this experience, I've gained lots of technical skills and have learnt lots about business strategy which will ultimately be useful to my career following my studies but most importantly, the Lord has taught me to rest in Him instead of striving. He always knows best, even when it doesn't make sense to us at the outset.
God provided something different to that I thought I would receive but in doing so, exceeded my expectations.
