God honoured our obedience

I heard this testimony in church recently and wanted to share it to encourage someone! A couple from my church had shared that prior to getting engaged, they weren't regularly tithing. They both worked in jobs where they didn't have a regular income and so with the pressures of saving for a wedding and trying to pay rent in London, tithing was not a priority for them. However, one Sunday, they were convicted to start giving and made a decision to tithe that Sunday. They mentioned that it had been a difficult decision as, in the natural, they felt as though to save this money was more tempting, especially given that they had a wedding coming up, however, they still decided to tithe. The next week, someone that they didn't know well at church came up to them after service and gave them an envelope. This person had said that God had told them to give them this. They opened the envelope at home and it was for the exact sum that they had tithed!
God is faithful! I don't believe we give to receive but this certainly blessed me by reminding me that God honours our obedience and is ultimately for us.
