God is still moving

I wanted to testify about a mission trip I took to Thailand.

Yesterday I was with the men's drug rehabilitation ministry and spent the morning and afternoon with the guys. It's about 90mins from where I am staying, so it was an early start on little sleep. It was so worth it however for what I wittnessed. To see these guys set free, really making a change and embracing Jesus was phenomenal!

I arrived at 9.15 for the daily worship and teaching time that they have from 9.30... I truly felt the presence of the Holy Spirit there. I didn't even feel it as strongly at the two international churches I went to. But here in this back alley remote drug rehab facility, the Holy Spirit moved. And when I say back alley I mean BACK ALLEY - it's right behind one of Bangkok's airports ha!

Hearing the leaders speak about love and showing those who visit the centre what it means to walk with Jesus was amazing. The whole programme and lifestyle they introduce the guys too really seeks to give these guys a biblical an spiritual foundation for practical living. It reintroduces them to routine, responsibility so they do housework, cooking but also massive emphasis on community. I even learned thtat one of the guys who was saved there got married a few months ago to a woman in ministry - look at God!

I also spoke to one of the men there and asked him what his future plans were since being rehabilitated. To hear him say he wants to serve in response to my question was incredible. He mentioned that he had already enrolled at a discipleship training school in northern Bangkok and was due to go on a missions trip to China!!!! Imagine the headlines in hell as they quake in their boots.. Ex drug addict, gets saved, joins ministry training school and goes on missions to china for a month! Who would have thought it? Who could do it but God?! I love how patient God is and how beautiful His plans unfold..

This trip has reiterated the power of God's mercy and redemptive love. That He will dig down to the depths of society to the very people that are the dirtiest, and furthest removed from Him, and pick them right up, dust them off and give them a new future. Don't you just love out God? His faithfulness knows absolutely no bounds.

God is so awesome ❤

I'm truly seeing that the ministries focused on loving their neighbours and not the bright lights of success are making such an impact. They introduce Jesus right before people learn about Him. It reminds me of when Paul said that I may know Him and the power of the resurrection. This type of ministry allow others to experience Christ before they even read a Bible and it's incredible. Hope this encourages many that God is still moving even where one might least expect Him to.
