God restored my family relationships

My dad had relationships which resulted in a number of amazing humans, able to leave their mark on the world: 8 to be exact. I have grown up not knowing the other 6, and to be honest I have not thought much of it (can’t really explain why), but recently I have felt the impact of the missing pieces of the puzzle that make up my family.
Fast forward many years later to 18th November 2017 - a day that will remember for the rest of my life. It was my aunt’s 60th birthday party and I had been looking forward to it for weeks, not just because of the delicious Nigerian food that I would be consuming (!) but because it was a surprise party and I couldn’t wait to see her reaction.
The party had just started and I had just eaten my first plate of delicious jollof rice (and was thinking about how long I would have to wait before I could go up to get a second plate lol) and I noticed this man standing at the back who really resembled my dad (literally a carbon copy!!!). The resemblance was too strong to ignore but I didn’t want to look crazy so I mentioned my thoughts to a close cousin of mine, who was also at the party. This particular cousin also had contact with some of my dad's children and so would be able to tell me if I had got the wrong idea.
To my relief (and surprise) my cousin confirmed that the man that I thought was a spitting image of my dad was actually my dad’s oldest son!!! Thoughts started running through my head - how do I approach him? What do I say?
Little did I know, God had solved that problem for me too! My younger brother had already gone straight up to him and introduced himself and found out that he was indeed our older brother. I then followed and introduced myself too. At this point, I was feeling every emotion you could think of (and my perfectly done make up was now ruined!) but the overwhelming emotion was sheer happiness because my family had just grown muscles!! Thankfully, my oldest brother was happy to meet us too!
GOD LISTENS!! And He plans everything for you far better than you can plan things for yourself. He thinks of things that you have not event considered, so trust in Him.
I'm grateful to report that our relationship is going from strength to strength and I have every faith that it will continue to do so.
