God has been good to me

I just want to thank God for his goodness in my life! If it had not been for the Lord on my side I definitely won’t be writing this testimony today. My parents told me of how I was so sick when I was a child that they thought I’d die. My dad believes that God miraculously healed me after he felt the presence of God in my room whilst praying over me.

I grew up in a relatively poor family in Ghana but God always provided for us. I remember numerous days when I was sent home from primary school because my school fees hadn’t been paid [primary school education in Ghana was fee paying and schools didn’t provide assistance at that time]. There were days we had to go without food because we had no money to buy any. However, despite our poverty God provided through various people for my education.

In my final year of university in Ghana, I was selected, without applying, for an all paid exchange programme in Canada. It was in Canada that I met a professor who encouraged me to apply to Cambridge. Although I was good academically, I never thought to apply to any graduate school outside Ghana and I never in a thousand years thought a guy like me from Ghana would be offered admission to Cambridge. Not only did get admitted to Cambridge, I got a full scholarship too! To this day my Cambridge scholarship fees like a dream.

God continued to show his goodness to me in the UK, guiding me to a good church in my first week or so in Cambridge, and I still fellowship at this church. God has since blessed me with a good job allowing me to be a blessing to my family back home in Ghana. A few years ago God put me in touch with my current wife via a Christian online dating website! Never did that option cross my mind until God led me to it. I now have a wonderful wife and child.

God has been good to me beyond my wildest imaginations. He is truly able to do above and beyond what we can ask or imagine!
