Favour with wedding planning

Weddings are always a stressful time in a couple's journey, particularly Nigerian weddings. There are so many factors to consider from the number of guests, location and bridal party numbers to name a few.

Throughout the wedding planning process we were blessed by strangers, vendors and long lost friends. So many people disappointed us but in their place God really showed up through many people and completely surprised us. Every single vendor we dealt with was amazing and so many of them gave us discounts even without asking!

One testimony that really stands out related to our search for the perfect videographer/photographer. I attended my friends wedding in Manila in 2017 and first came across Filterpan/Taavi films who are a husband and wife duo based in The Philippines. I instantly fell in love with their work that I came back to London and told my now-husband that we had to have them but deep down i knew this was a crazy idea. During this time we were also planning our wedding and trying to find vendors that delivered the same quality for a reasonable price but we literally could not find anyone that fit this criteria. Some people quoted more than £3k for just photography alone!!! One night around midnight I couldn’t sleep and the Holy Spirit told me to message Filterpan requesting their availability. At that point doubt crept in but I emailed anyway - after all the worse thing that could happen is that they say they weren't available.

The next morning, I woke up to a response from them saying that they would love to do our wedding and they wanted to discuss further. We discussed packages and we couldn’t believe the price even after budgeting for flights. It also turns out that they had a relative in London and were praying for a job that would bring them to London so they could visit family. So not only would accommodation be provided at no cost to us but they were able to come for a longer period of time which gave us more flexibility on flights!

The wedding day finally arrived and I was so impressed with the way they captured everything beautifully on the day even though it rained a little in the morning. Til this day, I’m so overjoyed when I see our wedding photos because I’m reminded of God’s goodness towards us in the process. The experience also showed us that often times you are an answer to someones prayer if only you step out in faith.
